Duffy Electric was started by Jerry Duffy, Sr. in 1969. Our experienced management staff has over 130 years of cumulative experience in the industry and employment with Duffy electrical Contractors.

Tucson resident since 1956. Graduated from Rincon High School in 1960. Began electrical apprenticeship in 1961, working for Oestreich Electric in Tucson. Employed at Oestreich throughout five years of apprenticeship training. Upon successful completion of the program, I was promoted to a foreman position with the company and oversaw the completion of several construction projects for the next three plus years. In 1969, left Oestreich to form Duffy Electrical Contractors. Retired from daily operations in August 2015.

Sargent Controls & Aerospace

Layout, size, and install power for production equipment. Install tele-data in cable tray. Assist plant maintenance personnel with relocating power, adding new circuits, lighting repairs, cord drops, etc.

U-Haul Various Locations

Install new 400 amp service. Install new 200 amp circuit for 120 KW EV charger. Install new 40 amp circuits for Level2 dual port EV chargers. Replace existing fluorescent fixtures with LED flat panel fixtures. Align LED flat panel fixtures with new storage unit aisles. Install ceiling mounted and hallway occupancy sensors.

911 Call Center

Install 100 amp feeder for new call center uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Disconnect power to existing UPS and connect power to new UPS for minimal interruption to call center power.

Salvation Army

Ground up construction for the new Hospitality House including primary electric and phone; playground lighting for the South Tucson location; and new circuits for the Richey Blvd. location.

Great Clips Salons Various Locations

Remove power and data from reception desk. Install power and data for new reception desk. Replace fluorescent fixtures with LED flat panel fixtures. Install new mono point and recessed light fixtures. Install power to cutting stations.

Miscellaneous LED Lighting Retrofits

Parking lot pole lights, building exterior wall pack fixtures, retrofit fluorescent light fixtures to LED, Hi-bay lighting.

Adair Funeral Home Crematory Expansion

Increase service to 400 amp. Install lighting, controlled by occupancy sensors, in new room. Install power to new crematorium. Install lighting for walk-in cooler. Connect power to walk-in cooler.

Kalil Bottling Company

One of Tucson’s oldest businesses, bottling their own products as well as private labels for the western United States. Over the years we have done the electrical for conveyor lines, warehousing lighting, emergency standby generator, and most recently a new 3000 ampere 480 volt service. This was done with a minimum of interruption to their production

Circle K

Longtime customer. On call 24/7 for them. All types of electrical installs, additions, moves. Troubleshooting faulty circuits and converting exterior lighting to LED area lights. 600 amp and 800 amp service increases.

NexGen Build & Design LLC

Work has included various commercial/industrial tenant improvements.

Presidio Construction

Work has included new construction and remodels of offices, restaurants, retail, medical facilities, grocery stores and convenience markets.

Altitude Inc.

Tenant improvement for (6) retail spaces at the Tucson International Airport. Work included installation of lighting control panels and tele-data cabling from various IDF rooms to the retail spaces, and in the spaces themselves.

Various Clients

Installation of conduit for fiber optic cable from CenturyLink pedestal, underground, then through building to teledata board. Installation of Cat6 and Cat6A cabling, patch panels, cable tray, cable terminations and continuity testing.
